METHOD
Step 1. Multiply the original number (Multiplicand) by 10, or just add one zero (0) at the right-hand end of the number
Step 2. Subtract the original number or Multiplicand from the new number worked out in Step 1
Step 3. The difference is the answer.
Example 1. Consider 5 x 9
Step 1. 5 x 10 = 50 or 50
Step 2. 50 - 5
Step 3. Answer 45
Example 2. Consider 67 x 9
Step 1. 67 x 10 = 670 or 670
Step 2. 670 - 67

Example 3. Consider 4813 x 9
Step 1. 4813 x 10 = 48130 or 48130
